Looking is a narrow task between the eyes, the hands, and the observed. It is a vibration of the three, which manifests the continuity of the drawn line.

Juan Paez (1973) is a Colombian artist who lives in New York. With a formal education in fine arts, research in the workshop and semiotics, he has explored drawing as a way of understanding the natural and social environment and as a producer of signs. His work shows a visual variety between the figurative, expressive, and abstract, ranging from illustration to traditional drawing and watercolor. Paez understands that the production of visual signs through drawing practice is an embodied experience that multiplies in conscious and unconscious experimental exploration.
