EVERYTHING IS LIVING

Yellow sprouted at birth

You’ve outdone yourself with this one, Mother Earth

Blooming transformation into its own shade of white

Graceful, swift death by the blow of the mouth

Away with a breeze, gone with the wind.

Making a wish within our mind

Secretly hoping it becomes a reality

Although, if I want it to be I cannot tell thee.

Cotton petals each hidden with astral planes

Demolished by our selfish little games

I’ve come to know a piece of art

Of a blown dandelion put back together from the start

Preserved inside a glass case

Beauty and the Beast inspired taste

This Dandelion received a second chance

She’s been revived, at last!

“I’ve actually been writing a poem about a dandelion”

I told the owner.

“Oh really? You must've manifested me.”

Nothing ever really dies, does it?
