BARELY ANYWHERE YET
Back to my little den of iniquity
to do whatever I can
to resist the peril of staleness.
And that’s not a wee challenge.
No, it’s much more than meets the eye.
I’m under intense self-scrutiny now,
now that I’ve begun my foray into the nether weeds!
That’s the foray, no mistaking it for anything else.
So it’s back to the notebook phase of my life: a scribble
here and there but nary an original thought.
But now I am channeling. Really, I do mean that seriously—really.
Dragging out the big cannons now. But can I handle that?
Time to stop for a little while, while I while away the next few hours
or days to find what’s next.
